In the blue...the blue of the lake: three emerald Lake Garda beaches to swim in.
There are three fantastic bays on Lake Garda where you can swim in crystal-clear emerald waters: Isola dei Conigli (Rabbit Island), Baia delle Sirene (Bay of Sirens) and Jamaica Bay.
Isola dei Conigli: a diver's paradise
Isola dei Conigli, also known as Island of San Biagio, is an ideal place for a nice swim. It is just below the Rocca di Manerba. Come prepared with fins and masks as hidden in its depths are underwater panoramas to be discovered.
What to do on Isola dei Conigli
Relax. There in the middle of the lake it can really feel like being in the middle of nature, far from everything, and right under the imposing spectacle of the Rocca of Manerba.
The treasure of the island is the Altare rock, a wall that descends underwater to a depth of 150 meters with two large balconies, where you can see yellow sponges and a cave, the refuge of the lake's inhabitants: it is the ideal place for diving enthusiasts.
Sunbathing is permitted on the island, and there is a sunbed and umbrella rental service for renting these items. There is also a small refreshment kiosk, where you can replenish yourself between dips in the lake.
Little stories and legends
Legend has it that on this island, once a year, a mass was celebrated, which the fishermen attended from their boats.

Jamaica Bay: one of the wildest beaches in Italy.
Located right at the tip of Sirmione, Jamaica Bay is considered one of the wildest beaches in Italy: here you can swim under the ruins of the Roman Villa and walk in the shallow waters where the stones smoothed by the lake lay just beneath your feet.
What to do at Jamaica Bay
Jamaica is about finding your own tempo, a slow, serene rhythm, like the little waves that come and go over the shallow stones that have been smoothed to a nearly polished state by the gentle movement.
Submerge your feet in the water and walk slowly over the stones of Jamaica. And while you cross the beach from one side of the shoreline to the other, take in the beauty of the scenery.
Keep a look out for some of the natural pools; between the stones you might even find the perfect spot for a swim. If you dare, where the water is deeper and the lake drops steeply into the abyss, you might find a great place to take a thrilling dive into the lake.
At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset from the beach bar, where they have a sunbed rental service.

Little stories and legends
Jamaica is nestled below the ruins of the Roman villa of the poet Catullo, called the grotto of Catullo, because from the lake they look just like natural ravines. Before the ruins were brought to light, they were used as shelter by the shepherds of the time.
It is said that Julius Caesar once stayed here and that the poet Catullo sought relief from his lovesickness for Clodia.
How to get to Jamaica/Jamaica.
Just getting to the beach can be a bit of a thrill. In fact, to get there you have to cross the medieval town of Sirmione, walking along a gentle sloping path, which among cornflowers and olive trees leads right to the tip of the Sirmione peninsula, where Catullo's caves are located.
From the grotto, walk down a little path and you are there.
Otherwise you can reach the tip of the peninsula using the little passenger train that passes through the streets of the town. And finally, if you want to admire the beach from a unique perspective, take the water route by speedboat.
How to reach these fantastic bays
There are many ways to reach these wonderful beaches, but for a unique, relaxed and private experience, the best way is by speedboat.
You can rent boats at the port, just a short walk from our hotel. Just ask one of the staff at the front desk how to get there. Or, for added convenience, you can take advantage of one of our prepared packages.
